Without volunteers to help us before during and after the Fair we couldn't operate. Here are a few of the areas where we need your help.Kid’s Zone Aug 21 & 22 - Set up the Fun Farm and Game Lane in the Kid’s Zone area. Aug 23 & 24 – Fun Farm - Volunteers needed to take children through the various activities in the Fun Farm – digging potatoes, picking fruit, collecting eggs, etc. Aug 23 & 25 – Supervisors to monitor and relieve volunteers, as necessary, throughout Kid’s Zone. Will require a criminal records check. Home & Garden Arts Wed, Aug 20 – set up tables, put on table cloths and skirting. Set up section and division areas. Thu, Aug 21 afternoon – accept exhibits as they come in and direct competitors to sections. Fri Aug 22 – daytime - Judges needed for Vegetables, Herbs, Fruit, Baking, Home Canned Goods, Needle Arts, Hobbies and Assisted Entry. Fri, Aug 22 – organize exhibits Sat & Sun – Fair Days – Aug 23 & 24 – Direct visitors and answer questions. Sun, Aug 24 – 4pm - Supervise exhibit removal. Clear tables, remove table cloths. Administration Aug 10 – Aug 22 – Data Entry – Input competitors entry information. Aug 23 & 24 – Input results Information Booth Aug 23 & 24 – Direct visitors and answer questions. Around the Grounds & In the Barns Aug 23 & 24 – Direct visitors and answer questions - Wash stand supervisors Volunteer Lunch Room Aug 23 & 24 – All volunteers will be provided with a lunch. Lunch room supervisor ensures the items required are on the table, coffee is made, and juice and soft drinks are refrigerated. Food Safe preferred. General Set Up & Take Down Aug 20-23 – Set up signs & wash areas around the grounds. Miscellaneous other jobs to do around the grounds. Aug 24 – 4:15 pm & Aug 25 morning. From taking down tables, to cleaning out stalls in the barn. We clear everything out and ensure the Exhibition Grounds look as good as they did before we took them over. Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve.
